[FCI NOTE: Over the past 35 years FCI has been blessed to supervise our world's largest, nonresidential fasting clientele--with clients continuously on all major continents and in all time zones--most prospective clients have wondered, aloud or silently, how fasting will affect their energy levels--on the job, while both exercising and studying, plus in their various lifestyle routines. Here, for example, is the testimony of a 26-year-old French chef from Dallas (Texas, USA), Courtney Poth, as written from the perspective of F16--fasting day 16 of her Total-Detoxification Program (53 total days, in Courtney's case--her age + 17, plus 5 days to intelligently enter and another 5 to skillfully break her fast).].
Dear Dennis: I enjoy the stories of accomplishments from your clients that you share with us, so here is one that perhaps you might share with someone else who is wondering about how fasting might affect her/his energy level. It is nothing like the 10-mile-a-day, female marathoner who's also an emergency-room physician, which I read on your Website. This is more of an average-Jane's story.
I began a kickboxing class about a month ago, and found myself in the middle of a group of people who had been training together for about a year and a half. I have been doing aerobics and some weight-training myself, but not up at the competition level like these kickboxing guys. Anyway, before class yesterday, the coach decided we should go for a run (yes, in the sub-freezing cold of this Texas winter!).
Interestingly, I kept up with him and the rest of the 18-year-old, high-school-swim-team, I'm-built-like-a-Greek-God, no-girl-is-going-to-keep-up-with-me, machismo guys in the class, throughout the whole run, even including the sprints at the finish. And, I was not nearly as winded as any of them when we finished! Oh, and the rest of the women in the class came straggling in several minutes later, looking very pained and just generally not pleased.
I felt great! Needless to say, they were impressed. Imagine what they would think if they knew I hadn't eaten in 16 days! I've said it before, and I'll probably say it again: I really dig this!
You've got the world's coolest job! Take care. Your friend, Courtney Poth
